Boldly they rode and well,

Flash'd as they turn'd in air,
Sabring the gunners there,
Charging an army, while
All the world wonder'd:
Plunged in the battery-smoke
Right thro' the line they broke;
Cossack and Russian
Reel'd from the sabre stroke
Shatter'd and sunder'd.
Then they rode back, but not
Not the six hundred.

Cannon behind them
Volley'd and thunder'd;
Storm'd at with shot and shell,
While horse and hero fell,
They that had fought so well
Came thro' the jaws of Death
Back from the mouth of Hell,
All that was left of them,

O the wild charge they made!

一位战士呼喊，
“向炮火进攻”！

这呼喊只是脱口而出，
其中的含义他还不懂：
尽管无人回应，
尽管心里朦胧，
可是个个视死如归，
无比奋勇：
一齐杀进死亡谷，
六百马背英雄。
左边的炮火山摇，
右边的炮火地动，
前面的炮火更猛，
有如惊雷敌人万炮齐轰；
冒着枪林弹雨，
恰似激流喷涌，
闯入死亡的血盆大口，
杀进地狱的咽喉要冲，
六百马背英雄。
所有的马刀一齐出鞘，
寒光闪闪挥舞空中，
把对方的枪手炮手砍杀，
向敌人的阵地进攻，
全世界瞠目惊悚：
穿过炮火硝烟，
摧垮顽敌的`阵容；
哥萨克与俄国兵，
被马刀杀得一片惶恐，
逃跑四散，无影无踪。
他们跨马返回，
可是，不再是那六百英雄。
左边的炮火山摇，
右边的炮火地动，
后面的炮火更猛，
有如惊雷敌人万炮齐轰；
冒着枪林弹雨，
英雄与战马倒在血泊之中，
他们的搏杀精彩无穷，
闯入死亡的血盆大口，
杀进地狱的咽喉要冲，
可是，现在剩下的，
不再是那六百英雄。
永不褪色是他们的光荣，
啊，他们发起过狂暴的进攻！
全世界瞠目惊悚。
致敬，为他们发起的进攻，
致敬，轻骑旅，
伟大的六百英雄。
