　　一、格式

　　1、称呼：英语应用文称呼有这样的特点：

　　(1)如果是不认识的人，一般称呼为敬词+尊称。例如，DearSirorMadam或者ToWhomItMayConcern(需注意每个单词首字母都大写)。

　　(2)如果是写给关系正式的某团体或个人，称呼为敬词+尊称+名。例如，DearMr.Xx,或DearMs.xx;

　　(3)对于关系较亲密的人可以直呼其名，即Dearxx。

　　同时需要注意的是：1、称呼要顶格写;2、称呼之后要加逗号或者冒号。这里推荐大家用逗号，因为历年的高分范文大多数都是用逗号的。

　　2、正文：正文格式一般有两种格式：一是缩进式，即首段开头空四个字母，段落之间不空行;另一种是齐头式，即每段开头不空格，但是各段之间空一行。建议考生采用缩进式，因为如果用齐头式，段间空行的话很可能答题空间不够，导致字数不够。

　　3、结语：结语要注意要留出两行。一行是靠后写类似汉语此致敬礼的话也就是Sincerelyyours，或者Yourssincerely，一定要注意这个地方的结尾是有逗号的，如果丢掉了逗号，则会扣掉一份，请大家一定要注意。同时，还需要注意落款，落款部分不能写自己的名字。

　　二、语言

　　这两句在表达意义上用词十分到位，随着两个when引导的状语从句内容的递进，主句对表现气愤程度的加强通过用词的不同而表达得淋漓尽致;排比结构的运用使观点更加明确在1中It is difficult not和to feel resentful about this与2中的it is not unusual和to get hot under the collar词语表达极其准确。这需要考生在平时大量阅读文章时多注意积累好的语言表达。

　　四、主题突出

　　标题如果是Pollution from Cars或Air Pollution，以下段落的阐述显得有些赘述：

　　1.Part of this problem is the world‘Sexploding population.

　　2.A growing population undoubtedly means more factories polluting the air.

　　3.Besides, land and water pollution has also increased.

　　4.Pollutionis, in fact, threatening our health, our happiness, and our civilization.

　　尤其是第三句，还有点跑题。

　　五、文字连贯

　　一篇好文章要注重连贯性。连贯性主要体现在句子与句子、段落与段落的衔接上，这种衔接要通过过渡词语来实现，以达到文章通顺，语言流畅。例如Tis clear that television news can vividly bring into us dramatic events of importance, such as wars, games and soon, but it can not cover important stories in detail they may deserve because of its time limitation. On the contrary, print news excels in its ability to devote as much space to a story as it sees fit, though it can not compete with television visually. Besides, television is essentially a passive medium. suchas, but, becauseof, on the contrary, though, besides这些过渡词把句子从语义上连接起来，形成一个有机的整体，读起来犹如行云流水，自然酣畅。

　　六、内容一致

　　要删除多余的词语，否则，一是破坏了文章的一致性，二是有凑字数之嫌。如：

　　1.Scientists fear that nuclear energy will one day destroyus.

　　2.They say that the explosion of a nuclear bomb can kill millions of people and cause disease and deformity in later generation.

　　3.Because of limited energy resources, scientists are studying the possibilities of nuclear power.

　　4.And any failure from a nuclear plant may cause enormous damage to the affected area.

　　5.What‘Smore, up to now people have not discovered a safe way to dispose of radioactive wastes.

　　本段中的第三句与主题不符，也与第二和第四句不连贯，应删除。

　　七、表达方式多样化

　　词、句型使用的多样化不仅给文章增加了色彩和可读性，与此同时也可反映考生的.词汇量和语言掌握的程度等。为避免文章平淡、呆板，可使用不同的句式 强调句、倒装句、否定句等等。长短句使用合理相间，用短句表达有力的结论，用长句体现严密的逻辑关系。考生在举例说明的段落中尤其要注意词语的多样性。

　　八、文体统一

　　正式文体的文章不宜用非正式的语句。有些考生在一篇很正式的议论文中用以下的句子做结语OK，this is what I want to say.或是That‘Smy opinion. Do you agree withme?等等，使文章显得不伦不类。

　　九、首尾呼应

　　上述几项被阅卷者称为闪光点，即加分的因素。除此而外，更重要的一点是要注意文章的完整性，即首尾要呼应。

　　十、检查到位

　　这个重要环节往往被考生忽略不计，而因为少了这个环节所造成的后果真可谓是功亏一篑。在阅卷过程中，时不时会发现ourself、thinked、the person who are…，而这些会酿成不良后果的错误完全可在一两分钟的时间内检查、修改完成。所以，在写完短文后，要耐心地再读一遍。

　　我是20xx年的考生，英语一直是考研的重要科目，作文更是重中之重，知己知彼 考研英语作文顺利过关招数。英语可不是我擅长的科目，我对英语的准备也比较充分，我从大二开始就关注英语的复习，也积累了不少经验，在这儿就把我个人的一些感觉和大家一起来分享。

　　考研作文一定要重视，他可是重中之重呀一点不感马虎。对于作文，我有以下的几点心得。

　　首先是利用好范文。我不主张背范文。但是经典的句子一定要背。比如图画视作文的开头，从描写段到论述段的过渡段和过渡句，再有就是一些万能句子。

　　比如：Although the drive to protect XXX interests and rights is a long-standing and strenuous one ，our joint efforts will eventually pay off .像这样的句子，可以用在很多题材中。如果在作文中，每段都能用上这样的几个句子，肯定会被认为是一篇不错的文章。开始练习的时候，首先就是积累这样的句子，积累的句子不一定要多，但是一定要背熟。同时，还要积累一些表达递进、原因、建议、号召等等常用的过渡。你会发现好的一篇文章，每个句子和句子之间都不是机械的一句一句的叙述下来的，他们之间都有小小的衔接和过渡，这就是所谓的技巧，因为这样表达出来的文章不会让人觉得死板。

　　其次就是练习了。作文一定要自己动手去写。如果不动手写，只靠背写范文和美句，就会在考场上有无的放矢的感觉。不管积累了多少好的句子，只有在自己的作文中准确无误的写出，才是真正的属于自己的。考研作文题材非常广泛，基本上压不到题，所以各种题材的作文都要练习。在考试的过程中，如果遇到类似的，或者你准备在其他的题材的作文中某个句子和短语，用在了考场上，那么这就是胜利。练习各种题材的作文，主要是给自己积累一些专用术语。

　　比如：去年我写过一篇关于教育的作文，我就想到了素质教育和应试教育，通过写这篇作文，我学会examination- oriented education和quality-oriented education这两个短语。在写一篇关于环境保护的作文时，学会了滥砍滥伐(clear-cutting)和环保意识，水土保持等等这些短语的英文表达，经验故事《知己知彼 考研英语作文顺利过关招数》。在一篇关于描写城市交通的作文中，又积累了关于高峰时间的两种表达(rush hour /peak hour)，这也是写作的一个小技巧，即在表达同一事物的时候，用不用的表达方法。

　　象这些都是我平时作练习时从书里面摘抄下来的，那本高分作文20天突破挺不错的，里面的内容很全面的，涉及了各个方面的练习，我觉得应该买一本试试。你会发现好的文章同一个核心词汇不会出现两次。当你掌握了这些很地道的英文表达，作文自然就会得心应手。在练习的时候，一定要想方设法的用上自己所积累的好的句子。那这种强迫变成了习惯，你就会觉得写作的思维也会随之改变。只要一落笔，就是那些美的句子，有了这种感觉，自己就会变得很自信。

　　最后就是关于一些谚语的应用。一篇文章如果在开头和结尾处用上一句谚语，那就是画龙点睛。所以平时背一些谚语也是有必要的.。去年，我在练习时积累了这样一个谚语，united we stand，divided we fall.这个谚语的意思是，“团结则存，分裂则亡。”参加过去年考试的人都会知道，这个句子恰恰是翻译的最后一句。当我看到这个题目的时候，当时心跳加速，想都没想轻而易举的拿下了！在这里我只想说对于英语的学习，贵在积累。虽然，我在练习作文的时间很长，可是却是受益匪浅。其实现在觉得作文还是比较好拿分的，只要是用心的去练习，成效是非常明显的。

　　终于写完了，不过我感觉还是不是很详细。我写此文有两个原因，一是想给那些初次考研的朋友一些借鉴，考研忌讳走弯路，希望我的教训能让给大家一些启发。再有就是，写给我的一位朋友。希望他能看到，能有点帮助。时过境迁，关于考研的一些事情开始随着时间的流逝渐行渐远，也开始遗忘了。我想，如果我们缘分未尽，终有一天会再相见，或是再重新认识的。不过，或许有些人在生命中注定无缘相见。一开始就已经注定了。不管是哪一种，我都不再计较了。我都希望你能好好学习，尤其好好学习英语，一定要考上。
