Open Courses
Online open courses are gaining popularity in recent years. Following globally famous universities like Yale and Harvard, some universities in China have also started to offer online open courses. Those courses have attracted people from all classes with different occupations.
The courses have brought many benefits to people. Many of the courses are provided by universities in foreign countries, and thus offer fresh ideas to us. Through them, we can keep up with what people are thinking all over the world. But that can also be a problem. Some of the courses may not be very suitable for Chinese students because of cultural differences and may cause chaos on Chinese campus.
In my opinion, online open course is useful and we should make use of it to broaden our horizons. But we should also remember to have our own thinking and not be brainwashed by improper ideas.

今天，我参加了中央电视台希望之星英语风采大赛山东省德州赛区的复赛，可真谓难上加难，势比登天，真是上刀山下火海，难得不得了。但是即使这样，我也没灰心，反而振作了起来，用微笑和笑容迎接比赛。看着其他选手站在那里不知所措，紧张的不得了，我感觉他们真令人可悲。我相信，这些选手肯定在家练了不下百回，但到台上却瞠目结舌，“台词”也忘得一干二净了，只见他们站在那里，就像一个个泥雕，仿佛著名雕塑家罗丹的大作。但这不是比雕塑，而是比英语才能的发挥水平，比的是英语口语。我作为一名普通的选手，看着就感觉苦笑不得。
虽然你不可能要求每一名选手都做到临危不惧这四个字，但也不能像老鼠遇上猫一样胆战心惊，双腿直发抖，不敢正视评委，把评委看成了高高在上的大法官，而把自己比成了即将被判刑的重刑犯。这些选手的滑稽“表演”，丝毫没影响到我。时间飞逝，当评委大声喊到张家泰三个字时，我一愣，随即从容大方的走上讲台，侃侃而谈起来，我把事先准备好的英语作文朗诵，我感觉我的英语作文就像洪水咆哮般涌来，富有激情和热情，我越说越兴奋，越说越高兴，仿佛这不是一场比赛，而是游乐园，使我没有压力。接下来的环节我表现依然best。但结束后，我对自己充满了信心，确信一定能进半决赛，接着进入那匪夷所思的决赛，并在决赛中胜出。
果不出我所料，到星期天去查询成绩时，看到入围名单上有陈骏彬三个大字时，我的心脏简直快蹦出来了，又是这幸运的`三个字：陈骏彬。让我走上了半决赛之路，使我能够再一次在中央电视台希望之星英语风采大赛山东省德州市赛区的半决赛上展示自我，出人头地，鹤立鸡群，我真的是太开心了，但漫长的比赛之路又开始了，让我放下骄傲，迎来谦虚，最后走向成功，成就我的星光之梦，赢得一台台式联想四核液晶电脑，我正为此而努力着，加油吧！陈骏彬，你能行，下一个希望之星就是我。

上三年级了，增加了一门课程——英语，于是，也就多了一位英语老师——沈老师：他挺着个将军肚，鼻梁上架着一副近视眼镜，还有那滑稽可笑的发型，看上去非常好笑。他是个双面人，他有两种不同的性格。 沈老师非常风趣。每次下课，他总与同学们在教室里打打闹闹。同学们老摸他的将军肚，他一点儿也不介意，还幽默地说：“我这肚子，摸一次十元。”惹得同学们哈哈大笑。沈老师走起路来屁颠颠的，真像一只胖企鹅。同学们都在后面偷偷地抿着嘴笑，沈老师听见了笑声，并没有责骂我们，反而把企鹅装得更像了。
有一次，快期末考试了，英语课的肉容都是复习，大家都有些不耐其烦了。沈老师仿佛看出了我们的心思，在上课的时候做了一个鬼脸，逗得同学们无不仰天大笑，使同学们那紧张的'心情舜间就放松了。 沈老师十分风趣，但也非常严厉。有一次上课了，沈老师阴沉着脸走进教室，所有人都知大事不妙了。在玩耍的同学以迅雷不及掩耳之速回到了座位上。在讲话的同学立马闭紧了嘴巴。但是沈老师还是火爆发了，其威力并不亚于掩盖庞贝城的火山爆发的威力。沈老师大吼一声：“吴雨航，王煜杰，给我每个字母各抄四十遍。”同时，将他们的没完成的作业本使劲地扔在地上。同学们见暴风雨过后，禁不住打了一个寒颠。而我还是毛骨悚然，生怕灾难会降临到我的头上。沈老师批评完了还不够，严厉地警告：“你们给我认真地做作业，不然，下场也会像他们一样。”我这才感觉到，沈老师在杀鸡敬候。 这就是我们的英语老师，既幽默又严厉的沈老师。

I told my parents I stayed the night at my friend’s home. In fact, we hanged out for fun until midnight. When I saw the horrible things happened in midnight, I realized I should not tell lies to my parents. They will concern about my safety. Since then, I would not lie to my parents anymore.

On the whole, my stay here was satisfactory. The hotel was comfortable and the room was bright, but it was too dirty. What's more the food was compeletely awful and the service was really terrible. I have stayed in your hotel for several times and everything is getting worse, though the price is fair.
总体而言，我在这边住得比较满意。酒店很舒服，房间也很明亮，但是太脏了。另外，这儿的食物太糟糕了，服务也很差。我已经在这里住过好几次了，虽然价钱还不错，但每件事都越来越糟糕。
