前言：本学期开始，学校展开了每日一句英语的活动。这个活动大大的提高了学生接触英语的机会，丰富了学生的英语知识，活跃了学校的英语学习氛围，深受学生和家长的喜欢和支持。早晨进校的时候学生首先接触到当日的一句英语，早操之后，学生再次跟读，接近学期结束，英语组决定进行一个英语知识竞赛。
时间：1月16日
地点：环小多功能教室
目的：结合本学期开展的每日一句英语活动，推动每个班的英语学习氛围，对每日一句英语活动及时做出阶段评价，提高学生学习英语的兴趣，同时提供学生体验成功的机会。
参赛选手：每个班选拔出6名同学，1名作为参赛选手，另外5名作为方阵对员，各个年级相同的班级组成一队，如一（1）班、二（1）班、三（1）班和四（1班）组成一队，其他类推，五年级不参加。
准备：布置竞赛现场，向电视台借抢答器和计时器，安排学校人员摄影和摄像，买奖品，制作课件，培训方阵队和选手队，发邀请函。

具体执行情况如下：
一、竞赛进程

下面我向大家介绍热情的拉拉队，忠心耿耿的dog队（wang, wang, wang, wondeful! ），可爱的cat 队（great, great, yeah, yeah, yeah!），调皮的monkey 队 （monkey ,monkey , I love you !），爱吃胡萝卜的rabbit 队 （rabbit, rabbit, 跳，跳，跳）,神气十足的tiger 队（go, go, go, o-lei –o –lei –o –lei ）。接下来出场的是我们势在必得的选手们，有这么多的朋友在场，先请选手们用一句英语来介绍自己，露露脸。（选手资料在电脑屏幕上显现，省略）
OK，环城小学每日一句英语知识竞赛现在开始。
第一关：必答题20题。请每个队的选手按照自己的号码轮流答题。答对加十分，答错不加分也不扣分。
1、 你好吗？ 2、见到你很高兴！3、教师节快乐！4、我是一名学生。
5、我是中国人。6、我能帮助你吗 ？7、今天天气很好。8、时间就是金钱。9、让我们做朋友。10、没有付出，就没有收获。11、易得也易失。12、切莫依赖明天。 13、时间不等人。14、今天下雨。
15、今天很冷。16、这是给你的。17、起床的`时间到了。18、这是个好主意。19、我很饿了。20、这个用英语怎么说？
（四轮下来，总结得分，五个队都是140分。）
各个队的队员是紧追不舍，不甘示后，在下一关究竟哪个队会胜出呢？让我们广告之后再见！
现在过春节有一个时尚，那就是出国旅游，这里我给拉拉队的小朋友准备了4个国家的风景图片，请你们猜猜看，这究竟是哪个国家？Where?（屏幕出现长城的一小半图片，猜中之后显现整张图片。袋鼠、自由女神、樱花等）
接下来是紧张激烈的抢答题，在听到我说开始后各队才可以按铃，答题请在15秒之内完成。答对加十分，答错扣十分。

(第二轮结束，总结得分，tiger队遥遥领先，190分高于其他队，tiger 队的拉拉队大喊口号。其他队也大喊加油。)

Host A: English has become a global language, and today, our contestants will show us how well they have mastered it. First, let me introduce our judges. They are [list of judges names and their backgrounds].
Host B: Thank you, judges, for being here. Now, lets meet our contestants. We have teams/individuals from different backgrounds and ages, all ready to take on this challenge.
Host A: The contest will consist of several rounds, including vocabulary, grammar, listening, and speaking. The team/individual with the highest score at the end will be the winner.
Host B: Are you all ready? Lets start with the first round - Vocabulary Showdown. In this round, contestants will be shown a series of words and have to define or use them correctly.

Host A: That was a great start. Now, we move on to the Grammar Gauntlet. Here, questions about grammar rules and sentence structures will be asked.
