T: Nice to meet you.
S1: Nice to meet you, too.
T: Where do you come from?
S1: I come from Huaian.
T: So do I. (Tell the students the meaning of "So do I.") What do you like best?
S1: Music/Sports/Football/Basketball/...
T: So do I. (Tell the students the meaning of "So do I") Where were you born?
S1: I was born in ....
T: So was I. (Tell the students the meaning of "So was I") Where are you living?
S1: I am living in the city of Huaian.
T: So am I. (Tell the students the meaning of "So am I.") Well, I must go/be off now. Nice meeting you.
S1: Nice meeting you, too. Bye.
(Tell the students the difference between "Nice to meet you." and "Nice meeting you." )
(Practice the similar dialog with other students, and point out their mistakes in using these sentences. Give them help if necessary.)
Now it's your turn to practice your own dialogs. Please ask and answer about your name, age, mother school, hobby, and something else.

Step 4 Listening
Well, please stop your practice. Next let's listen to the tape. Listen and get ready for this question. "Did the two boys know each other before?" (Play the tape and get the students listen to the tape with their books closed.) ...
Well, let's stop here. Who knows the answer?
Ss: No. They didn't know each other before.
T: How do you know that? ... please tell me your answer.
S?: ...
T: Good. They meet each other for the first time.
Step 5 Asking and answering
Now listen and get ready for the following questions. Let's see who can catch the answer. (Play the tape again.)
After listening, check their answers.
No.1 Which school was Harry at last year? (Centre School)
No.2 Whose friend is Bob White? Which school was he at last year? (Bill's. Centre School.)
No.3 Did Bill know Harry before? (No. They meet for the first time.)
No.4 What did Bill and Harry say to end their dialogue? (Well, it's getting late. I must be off now. Nice meeting you.) Give them help if necessary.
Step 6 Acting
Ask the students to practice the dialogue, or practice their own dialogues.
Two minutes later, get some pairs practice their dialogues in the front.
Repeat Steps 4-6 to teach the second dialogue. Point out "I will/want to introduce you."
