She is just setting out on a career in journalism.
21.I don't want them to remind me of her.
★remind sb.of sb./sth.
This photograph reminds me of the happy days we had on the seaside last year.
This reminded them of the days when they were in the army.
It reminded me of my mother.
★remind...of...
The note was to remind him about something he had to explain to one of his students.
Thank you for reminding me of the meeting I had to attend.
I always remind myself not to be late for meetings.
I remind you that time will soon be up.
The sight of the clock reminded me that I was late.
22. So he did.
★这是一个重复或肯定前面提到的动作的结构,在本课中,相当于so he threw these flowers and chocolates away。
You asked me to leave, and so I did.
“It's raining hard.”“So it is.”
与“so+主语+...”
You asked him to leave, and so did I.
Louise can dance beautifully, and so can her sister.
“I've lost the address.”“So have I.”
“I won't have any more.”“Nor will I.”
“Jack didn't like the play.”“Nor did we.”
“He hasn't handed in his composition.”“Neither have I.”
John likes Chinese but he is not good at it. So it is with Mary.
So was Mary)
