1) n. “经验(不可数), 经历(可数)”。

1)“特别的,个别的”,强调与同一团体、范畴或种类的其他部分的分离和区分。

2)“挑剔的,苛求的”,通常指过分地注意或涉及细节和细微区别。
He is very particular about his food. 他吃东西很讲究/挑剔。
be particular about(讲究/挑剔)与in particular(特别地)是比较常用的习惯用法。
4. advance
该词的关键是要注意它作动词时的不同含义,记忆时要把握住其本意“(使)向……前/上” ,再按汉语习惯灵活地翻译。
advance the growth of rice促进水稻生长
He was advanced to the rank of captain. 他被提升为上尉。
As the wages advanced, so did the cost of living. 随着工资的提高, 生活费用也提高了。
另外,它的形容词形式为:advanced “高级的,先进的”。
