TEACHING PROCEDURE:
I Pre-task:
Step1. Revision and Warming –up
T: Let’s have a chant we’ve learnt yesterday.
What’s your favorite sport?
Football, football, football.
What’s your favorite sport?
Volleyball. Volleyball. Volleyball.
What’s your favorite sport?
Skating. Skating. Skating.
What’s your favorite sport?
Swimming. Swimming. Swimming.
T: What’s your favorite sport? Are you good at it?
( Call several Ss to answer. )
Step2. Ask and Answer ( Present new words)
T: Recently, we’re learning something about sport ?
T: yeah. Most of you can ride. It’s very easy.
T: How about swimming? Can you swim?
( While asking, show the pictures of the according ones. )
T: Oh. No? To you, it is very hard. Yes?
T: How about the skating?
T: Ok. Now ask your classmate behind you after you answering the question. Can you fly a kite/ play card? Volleyball? playfootball? Jump? Sing? Dance? Play tennis?
T: I’d like this group to ask and answer one by one. ( about two groups)
Step3. Learning and doing.
T: And my last question, can you dance?
T: I can dance. Look at me. Dance like this. Don’t dance like that.
T: do you like to learn dancing? Now I’d like to teach you some dancing actions. Do it like this. Don’t do it like that.
T: ok. The ones who are good at throw yoyo come to the front and teach us how to throw it. While you teaching, you should say “ throw it like this. Don’t throw it like that.”
II While- task:
Step1. Game Island
T: Now I’d like one student to come to the blackboard. Who can help me?
T: Good. I’d like you to look at me while I doing some actions and guess what sport I am doing. You should ask in this way : “ Can you ***?” If yes, I will say “ yes, I can. Its easy.” If no, I will say “ No, I can’t. it’s too hard.”.
(show the English name of a sport on the screen. I do the according action of the sport. The student stand backward to the screen and guess with the appointed sentence structures.)
T: Ok. I will call anther pair of students to come to the front.

Step 2. Listening
T: You guys are really good at playing. (表演) And are you good at listening?
T: Here are some pictures of sports. Listen to the tape and tick the correct pictures. ( P90 on the text book. )
T: Look at this picture can Jim play yoyo? Listen and answer my question.
T: Yes, he can. And he teaches Ling how to throw it.
T: Listen carefully and pan attention to the pronunciation and tone. Read after it sentence by sentence.
T: Let’s read it together.
Step 3. Dialogue Drill
T: I will give you one minute to prepare to act this dialogue out.
