　　What Can I Do for Our Environment?

　　Everyone_can_do_something_for_our_environment.

　　When we are in our classroom after 8：30 in the morning，we should not keep the lights on to avoid wasting electricity since there is enough light in the classroom.And if it is cloudy and rainy and lights are on，we should turn off the lights after school.Another thing we can do is to protect the forest which is reducing.We should use both sides of paper and we should not use paper cups and disposable chopsticks which are made of trees.

　　All these are the things we can do every day to make our environment better. As long as we insist on doing so，our environment will become better and better.

　　This August I went to a two-week long English camp which was held by English Beacon in Yantai city, Shandong Province. There were over a hundred middle school students from all over the country and thirty experts in English teaching participating in this exciting camp. While we were there, it was required that we speak only English to our teachers and with each other. There were many activities which were funny and helped us to strengthen our oral English skills, such as, the Second Annual National Debate for Middle School Students, the Third National English Speech Competition for Middle School Students and English parties. We also visited many places of interest. Learning English was exciting and the teachers were very friendly and helpful. This camp was a real life-changing experience that I will never forget.

　　今年八月，我参加了由《英语辅导报》在山东烟台举办的为期两周的英语夏令营活动。来自全国各地的一百多名中学生和三十名英语教育专家参加了此次活动，在那儿我们只能用英语交流。此次夏令营举办了许多有趣且提高口语能力的活动，比如第二后全国中学生辩论赛，第三后全国中学生英语演讲赛和英语晚会。我们还参观了许多名胜。学英语很有趣，老师对我们也很和蔼，给了我们许多帮助。这次夏令营真实的`生活体验令我永远难忘。

　　This August, I took part in an English summer camp which was held in the city of Yantai, Shandong Province. Every member should communicate with each other in English. All of us were very happy and excited in the camp. We visited many places of interest. But what impressed us most was the English party. Some were singing in English and others were dancing. 　　What are the causes of fire accidents? Most of the fires are brought about by carelessness and violation of fire safety regulations.

　　Others are due to the poor quality of home electrical appliances. By the way, some people don't know how to use them properly. Besides,there are quite a few businesses which focus so much of their attention on profits that they tend to neglect and even ignore fire precautions.

　　In my opinion, in order to prevent fires we should first of all foster people's sense of fire prevention. The second thing we have to do is to increase the number of professional fire fighters, to whom regular training courses should be offered. Finally, we are to improve the existing fire engines and add more fire facilities to high-rise buildings. In this way, a reliable fire prevention system will be formed.
