To a largee_tend the environmental destruction is the heavy price that we pay for therapid development of economy and the growing population. In order to have morefuel people cut down trees and dig more corals. But the growing needs for energyare hardly to meet. Countless private cars on the street the gas stations areshort of gasoline even the government has raise the price so many times in orderto control the needs of gasoline but it’s still not working. Overusing thenatural resources has already affected the ecological balance. However thefactories still release the to_ic air into the sky and the polluted water intothe rivers. People still lack of the conscious of protecting the environment. Ithink it’s time for all of us to do something.

　　The government should put forward some more strict laws to prevent theenvironment from being further polluted. And they should let people know moreabout the importance of environment protection. And we should find the balancebetween the economic growth and environmental protection. Plant more trees inthe deserts and stop cutting down the forest. Forbid the factories to pour thewaste water into the rivers directly. Encourage people to use publictransportations to work. Both government and ordinary people should join handstogether to make our home clean and fresh again. Only in this way our earthcould be a better place to live in.

　　Low-carbon lifestyle covers many aspect of our life like transportation,traveling, home-heating, and so on. In order to promote a low-carbon life, someplans must be carried out as follows. Firstly, don’t waste any electricity andwater. Remember to turn off the lights and water taps unless we use them.Secondly, we had better take the subways or bus to work, so as to reduce theemissions of carbon dio_ide. Thirdly, we should use cloth bags for shoppinginstead of plastic bags, and use recyclable bowls and chopsticks instead ofdisposable ones, for it can not only save resources, but also reduce pollution.What’s more, it is of great significance to plant more trees, since trees canbalance the carbon dio_ide emissions.
